Pocket Constitution

A pocket Constitution usually refers to a printed copy of the United States Constitution that is pocket- or pamphlet-sized and can fit in a pocket, purse, or other small container for portability.

People known for carrying a pocket Constitution include CNN journalist Nancy Grace,[1] William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law professor and constitutional scholar William Van Alstyne,[2] Republican U.S. Representative Ron Paul[3], and Democratic U.S. Representative Dennis Kucinich[4].

One notable pocket Constitution is the edition printed by the Cato Institute.[5] This Constitution has been carried by several notable people, including the late ABC World News Tonight anchor Peter Jennings and U.S. Senators Carl Levin of Michigan and Robert Byrd of West Virginia (both Democrats) and Trent Lott of Mississippi (a Republican).[6]
